EUMED projects

Trans-Mediterranean Orbital Rail Network and Sea, Aerial and Road Links:
(Paths for peace, progress, solidarity and sustainability).

Scope of the Study:
The study will consider how to optimise the competitiveness of the Euro-Mediterranean Great Area though the implementation of the rail freight network that links all main Mediterranean Ports among them and among their respective hinterlands in the European Union and neighbouring Countries in Europe, Near Eastern Asia and North of Africa.

The Study will take into account as well, the progressive implementation of FERRMED standards and the intercontinental and short sea traffics in the Area, jointly with the best combination with rail transportation

The idea is to develop the Study by an international Consortium selected by FERRMED and Business EUMED (Euro-Mediterranean Business Association).

Business EUMED Networking Meetings

From November’09 onwards we will start with what we call “Business EUMED Networking Meetings” a series of round tables, seminars, conferences, lectures or similar format about different topics and subject matters which are compatible with Business EUMED basic targets and that are carried out throughout an outstanding participation of our members from their initiatives or projects.

New Business Culture Implementation

The proposed New Business Culture (NBC) is fully linked to the six competitiveness factors in a global environtment: Research-Development-Innovation-Identity- Impact-Infrastructure which means the R+D+4i philosophy. This culture complements “scientific management” with “behavioural management”. The latter is based on individuals’ participation and self-affirmation. Furthermore, it conceives the firm as a powerful source of poly-centric thinking, that wraps up the process, in which everyone contributes with ideas and thus helps to foster quality and added value for products and services, which are highly competitive as a result.
